Using the Name of Jesus does not make you a Christian

Jesus said, in Matthew 7:21-23
“21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’
He prophesied that in The End of Days, most religious people will be on the “broad road that leads to destruction”…. Unfortunately, we are seeing that today, with “Christian” behavior. They lack the love for our Heavenly Father and for the “others” that Jesus said were the two most important commandments!
It was prophesied by Jesus Himself, also in Matthew 7!
Many received “salvation” for selfish reasons. To “save” themselves from the penalty of sin. It is true that salvation comes through Jesus, but then we have to do the things that He commanded us to do. After salvation through the Son comes a relationship with the Father. That’s where many who claim Christianity fall short.
They never mature past the selfish phase, and grow up into the relationships phase.
It’s all about “me, me, me”. Look what He did for ME. “Now, you’re all sinners and wrong”. Judgement becomes rampant and the love never grows.
It’s also where deception is bred. Followers are ripe to deceptive doctrine, from leaders who are either immature themselves, or are intentionally using followers for their own gain. These days it’s often gain politically.
So many Prophesies are being fulfilled, but many who call themselves Christians, conveniently leave out the ones that talk about the condition of the Church in the End Times.
They focus on natural disasters, that we’ve often created by not listening to the science on climate change, and are continuing to destroy His creation that He told us to be good stewards of.
They see the signs of famine and disease, yet turn a blind eye to helping them, while going on with the trivial things of life.
They talk of abortion, yet cut the welfare needs for those babies once they “save” them.
On and on I could continue, but the point is that so many things that were prophesied were not about “sin in the world” but were the consequences of us not doing the things that our Father wanted us to do!
They aren’t about the “wrath of God”. They’re about our disobedience to Him and not loving. Not loving Him enough to take care of His creation and not loving others enough to take care of the people who are suffering!
There will be a time of His wrath, but what we are seeing now are the consequences of not loving.
I’ve studied eschatology (End Times prophecy) my whole life, and things have never been closer, yet watching the “religious” people being deceived is the hardest one for me.
That is why I pray daily that I stay close to my Heavenly Father’s heart and do His will, so that I will not be deceived. The Bible says that “even the very elect will be deceived” and that’s a neon sign in my brain telling me that it can happen to me too.
I’ve been watching this, and writing about it, for years, but God never gave me the permission to share it. It was always, “not yet”.
At least I had it written for my children, so that if I wasn’t here, they would know how their mom saw things.
Several months ago, God told me “Now’s the time to share”. The times are getting close, and many are so lost now. Some of the most “Christian” representatives now, are leading so many astray, and onto “the broad road that leads to destruction”.
The “Narrow Gate that leads to life” is doing the things that Jesus commanded. Loving our Father, and the Others that He leads into our lives. The Narrow Gate is not about using the name of Jesus, as many of us were taught. He even says this!
Yes, we received our salvation through Him, but that’s just the beginning. The whole point of our salvation is about relationships. Most importantly our relationship with our Heavenly Father!
When we love our Father, we want to please Him. We please Him by loving others. IF we did those two most important things, we wouldn’t be in the condition that we’re in now.
