The End Times

This post is similar to another post that I just made, but includes more information. It’s primarily for my “Christian” audience. It’s written in the types of language and understanding that we grew up with, so it might not make much sense to people who didn’t grow up that way. It might even sound crazy, when you’ve never had a foundation on these topics. The people who need to understand it though, will know exactly what I’m talking about.

What started as a Facebook post, grew into this piece. That often happens when I begin thinking and praying about certain situations. I believe that our current environment in America is a tipping point for future prophesied events, and most Christians just don’t see it.

I get to that point at the end of this article but it starts with my opinions on current policies that we are allowing to be enacted in this administration, which are being supported by many who claim to be Christians.

My whole life, my conservative, Republican parents (Dad, a Green Beret and mom Army), and my Grandfather who was an ATF agent, would warn me about the Federal Government using our own troops against its citizens. About them changing laws, in order to control any opposition.

They followed conspiracy theories, while Democrats were in power, that “They” were going to declare martial law, deploy the National Guard to any areas of descent, and take away our constitutional rights to protest.

They would talk about the “wealthy elites” who ran the country behind the scenes, and that there would come a time when American’s Freedoms would be taken away. That the wealthy would protect themselves and become the ruling class, while the middle class would disappear.

Republicans have accused Democrats of weaponizing the judicial system and other agencies, in order to attack opposition, and criminalize descent.

Imagine my surprise when I see that it’s not the liberals who are doing these things, but the “conservatives”. It’s also not the wealthy “behind the scenes” now. They’re up front and center stage, making policies that benefit them and their businesses, while cutting aid for the poor and cutting the agencies that give over-site and protections for the “every day man”.

Everything that my parents told me that the Republicans would protect us against, has become the modus operandi of the new conservative movement, many of whom use Christianity as their justification.

They have spoken their fears into existence, not realizing that they would be the fulfillment of what they worried would happen under the liberals.

There was always the “End Times” prophecy perspective thrown into the warnings too, which I actually still believe strongly in myself, only it’s not the “who or what” that I imagined it would look like.

Back then, Christians would point their fingers out at the “moral downfall” and “sins of the world” as the reason for the End. I believe now that it’s far from those things. It’s the condition of the hearts of each person. “Sin” is simply a symptom of a heart without relationship with our Heavenly Father.

Many who claim to be Christian “sin” more in their “religion” than the people in “the world” that they judge.

I hope that many of the conservative, particularly Christian, people that I know, who had the same “teachings” as I did, can stand back from this moment in time for a minute and reflect on what I’m saying.

We have become the fulfillment of the prophesies that we were taught. The enemy isn’t “in the world”. It’s within our own “borders”. That’s prophetic as well. Jesus spent a significant amount of time warning about the religious people of the End Times.

Matthew 7 is one of the most important teachings in the Bible, in my opinion. Jesus is talking to “Church people”. He’s instructing us on how to focus inwardly (both personally and inside the religious teachings, and teachers that we follow) and to focus on the “Narrow Gate and road that leads to life”.

The “Broad Gate and road that leads to destruction” is not pointing the finger out at the sins of the world. A big part of it is the condition of the hearts of the religious people.

Matthew 7:21-23 says, “ 21 Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’ “

He isn’t talking to the world!

The “Right” is not right anymore. “Suicidal Empathy” isn’t bad! It’s actually what we’re called to do! Being “Woke” isn’t an insult! It’s what we should all work to be. We all need to wake up to the suffering of all people.

The Bible teaches that in the End Times “Good will be called evil and evil will be called good!” Isaiah 5:20 says, “ Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.” These are perfect examples of that prophecy being fulfilled. “Christians” have embraced these falsehoods.

If you are a Christ Follower and had the same foundation of studying the End Times that I did, you should be able to step back from the “now” and see what I’m trying to say.

Watching the news today is like watching the old movies and books about the End Times that we were forced to watch and read as teenagers. They were B, even C grade movies, and looked like science fiction and crazy back then. Some of the kids were even terrified and “scarred” by watching them.

Back then, creators were using their imaginations about how things could happen. Things like tattoos of 666 on people’s foreheads, in order to buy or sell anything. Without the “Mark of the Beast” you will be killed.

It’s a literal decision between life and death, if you decide to Follow Jesus.

We couldn’t imagine how it was going to happen, so they had to be creative. We only knew that prophecy said it will happen.

The thing is though, we can see how it can easily happen now. Things like AI, the state of world affairs, and technology have made this not only possible but it will actually all make perfect sense.

To be “chipped” like we chip our dogs, will make perfect sense!

No more crime or abducted children. You can buy and sell without fear of identity theft. Your medical records will be with you at all times. So many amazing, good things!

Only, you won’t have a choice about it. If you don’t get it, you’ll be a criminal and eventually will be killed. It all makes sense in a way that we could never imagine in the 80’s-90’s and before.

You also won’t be able to hide from it, as we can see from how we’ve already become a surveillance state.

The problem that I see though, is that one of the biggest prophesies is one that was always neglected in the story lines, and is still not seen by most. That’s the condition of the religious people.

I could never understand the prophecy of how the world would turn on Christians, when the majority of the world identified as Christians.

Then about a decade ago I woke up with this striking thought. That it would be the behavior of those who called themselves Christians that would cause the world to turn against true Christians. It was shocking to me then, just 10 years ago, but now it’s an observation.

The actions of Conservatives and so called Christians, have become darkness, not light. At least the ones that the world sees and the ones controlling our Government at the moment. The Christian Nationalists and those who claim that we have “suicidal empathy”. The policies and people that lack any love and compassion.

This is the time when the world will begin to view Christians as the problem, not the solution. They’ll be reminded of how so many have been killed in the name of Jesus through the centuries, and the teachings of hate that have come from twisted scripture.

From the Crusaders, to Hitler, to the Far Right who preach hatred against the “others” that God has called us to love.

I am not talking about all Christians. There are many who see what’s happening and their hearts are grieving too. I’m talking about many though. That’s why it’s a “broad road”.

I ask myself every day, “am I being deceived?” That’s a prophecy too. “Even the very elect will be deceived.” Matthew 24:24 says, “For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.”

That’s why I also pray to my Heavenly Father every day, in the name of Jesus, to keep me close to His heart. To help me be wise and humble, and to help me to love Him and ALL of the “others” that He brings to me to love!

This is the most important prayer that I can pray and the most important thing in my life that I’m called to do. It’s not easy, and I’m not perfect, but I learned a long time ago that my “witness” to others about God’s truth is not about the words that come out of my mouth but through the character that I show. The Love that I show others.

I try not to get too wrapped up and worried about current policies and news, but I also watch it with a heart full of warning. A heart that sees how each of these issues is a part of THE big picture!

I don’t focus my heart on the sins of the world or the decision that others make. That’s all a distraction from examining my own heart, and working on the “log in my own eye”.

Their choices and the condition of their hearts are between them and God, not them, ME, and God.

That doesn’t mean that I don’t care about them, and love them. When we grow closer to God, our Father, and we do the work on ourselves, we can’t help but love others and care about them. We want them to have the Fruits of the Spirit in their lives that we have developed in our own!

The thing is though, when they know that I’m not judging them, and I have my own heart squared away with Him, they feel safe to come to me with anything they may need. They know that I love them, right where they are, and they come to me, knowing I truly care. I’ve earned their respect and trust. I’m not forcing anything on them!

The Bible never spoke of becoming a Christian Nation. It never told us to force Christianity on others. Spiritual Warfare is not literal warfare! It’s prayer.

The twisted scriptures that are being spewed out of the mouths of the people in our government, and those who support them, are just that. Twisted!

I’m not Catholic but when you’ve had 2 Pope’s in just a few months, call you out for twisting scripture to fit your agenda, that says something.

There are so many more things that I could write on this subject but I think I’ve hit the most important ones that apply to Christians, in this post.

I know that this post will anger some, and make many uncomfortable, but it’s a call to reflection. To step back from politics and single issues that have drawn your focus, and to try to see THE biggest picture. The eternal perspective and how the things happening now are a part of it.

When you do that, it might just change your heart, and that might change your mind on some issues.

One last prophecy that I’d like to mention. In the Book of Daniel, specifically in

Daniel 12:4 and 12:9, the prophet Daniel is told to "seal up the words and seal the book" until the time of the end.” That meant that people could study it their whole lives but never understand its meanings. Not until the End. That’s why many scholars have said it’s not literal, or that it’s metaphorical, etc. It simply wasn’t understandable.

Things are being understood today in ways that they could never be understood before. The fact that so many things were predicted thousands of years ago, but are only being understood within the last few years, says a lot to any Christian that’s actually paying attention.

Scriptures talk about being “ready”. About “watchmen on the wall” and the parable of the brides waiting for the bridegroom. Having their lamps ready and being prepared. It says that Jesus will return “like a thief in the night” and that “no man knows the hour or the day”, but it does give us plenty of signs to watch for, to know the hour is growing near.

Be prepared! Work on the log in your own eye and then work on truly loving your Heavenly Father and every other person that He calls you to love!

It’s my prayer that this post will help reach the hearts of some of the Christians whose hearts have grown cold. If it only helps one person then that’s enough. Many won’t understand it at all, but it’s for the ones who know what I’m talking about. I love you all.
