President Trump’s first term wasn’t great, but he didn’t do things that would completely change our Democracy either. Then came the January 6th riots, and attempts to stop the peaceful transfer of power that has existed for 250 years.

At the time, almost every American was outraged. Even among Republican circles, it was too much. Then came the spin doctors and the propaganda machine, and what was once shocking was now normalized.

Trump didn’t get a lot of what he wanted during his first term, and he isn’t a man who’s used to not getting what he wants.

This gave him four years to develop his plan of attack for his return. Four years that other Presidents didn’t have, to create the teams and plans needed, to steamroll his agendas, and crush any opposition.

The creation of Project 2025 was leaked by the press and most Americans were outraged, again, so out came the spin doctors, and Trump denied any knowledge of its existence. He KNEW it would be a deal breaker for many voters. On top of that, he was given a gift, when Biden stepped down and Harris became his opponent, so late in the game.

Many in the middle of the political road didn’t feel they had a good choice. They thought to themselves, “Well, he didn’t do too much damage in his first term, so how bad could a second term be?”

Little did they understand what had been happening in his 4 years of planning.

The wheels of Project 2025 had already been set in motion, by starting from the bottom up, and filling the Supreme Court, the Justice Department, Congress, state representatives, and even down to school boards, with their candidates.

Now the road for Trump was cleared of any opposition to his powerful use of executive orders, starting on day one. The changes came so swiftly and forcefully, nobody knew which one to focus their efforts on, and they were in Project 2025!

THAT was in the playbook. He immediately filled his staff with Project 2025 authors, and supporters.

Welcome to today, less than a year into this administration, and more than half the country are like deer in headlights. Most people in the middle didn’t vote for THIS! They didn’t really think about just how diabolical it could become.

They had always voted down the Party line, and couldn’t imagine voting any other way, especially when the Democrats didn’t have a strong (or proven) candidate.

I predicted a “revenge tour” long before the election, and this is what we are living through. A 78 year old toddler, throwing his tantrums, that he’s been planning with his buddies for 4 years. Unfortunately those tantrums affect our democracy and I don’t know if it will ever be the same, once Project 2025 is finished.

I am a Christian, and these people also claim to be, but our faiths couldn’t be further apart. They are Christian Nationalism. They are behaving in the same ways that the Church of Germany acted in the 1930’s, leading the people right into Hitler’s hands.

We, as Christians, have never been called to force people to abide by our faith. We were never called to be the morality police for others.

True Christ Followers are called to work on the log in our own eye, and when we do that, and develop His Fruits of His Spirit in our lives, then MAYBE when others are in need, they will see our light, and come to us for answers!

Christian Nationalism creates enemies, instead of loving them. It creates “Us vs Them” in our country. It says that our country’s problems are because of those “others”. The same others that Jesus ministered to, and told His followers to Love!

I never dreamed that Christian Nationalism would be normalized and even embraced, in our country. I think that’s because I actually studied history, and knew where it leads. Most people don’t know history anymore, and this administration is trying to twist or erase it, before people learn. That’s also a Project 2025 plan.

Woke is not an insult. I woke up. I pray that others wake up too, before it’s too late for America.
